Back in March, Liz Martin of The Charleston Weekender and I joined forces for a Fashion Week shoot at Zero George, the most adorable boutique hotel in Charleston. Zero George invited me for a Charleston staycation, and I’m so excited to share my night there with you! I invited Hunter along, too (talk about photographer’s boyfriend perks)! We used the opportunity to celebrate our anniversary a few weeks after the fact. It’s never too late when you’ve got an incredible hotel stay planned!
Zero George is a small block of historic homes now filled with cozy suites. We stayed in the Garden Suite, which had a lovely little seating area right outside the door. The room itself was gorgeous. I especially loved the little touches of Charleston, like the tiny print of Rainbow Row. The decor felt very Charleston but with a sleek modern update. Yes please!
Wine & Cheese Hour
After marveling at the room, we headed to the bar for wine & cheese hour. An incredible cheese board and a glass of wine greeted us. The restaurant and bar are open to the public, so I definitely plan on enjoying a drink on the breezy porch again. Next, we headed off-site for dinner at Poogan’s Porch on Queen Street. When we arrived back to the hotel, dark chocolate squares were waiting for us (thank goodness we skipped dessert)!
Soaking in our Charleston Staycation
The next morning, we indulged in a fresh breakfast outside on the patio. We wished we had time to take the blue bicycles for some in-town exploring, but it was time to end our Charleston staycation all too soon! Thank you again for an incredible hotel experience, Zero George! Hunter and I will be back at the very least for a repeat wine and cheese hour!
