For Brand Photographers

Finding the perfect, meaningful gift can feel impossible, especially when it’s just so easy to add anything to your cart on Amazon. That’s why I always come back to personalized photo gifts! Maybe it’s the photographer in me, but there’s nothing better than giving something worth displaying and special.

The tricky part? There are a lot of photo gift options out there, and plenty that lean more cheesy than stylish. So I’ve rounded up my favorite chic personalized photo gifts for the holidays (or any time for that matter!) that feel like heirlooms and decor all at once.

Heads up: since photo gifts are personalized after all, be sure to order early to get your gifts delivered on time and take advantage of those Black Friday sales!

01. Personalized Photo Album

Custom photo albums have been the #1 requested and most appreciated gift in my family! In past years, I’ve given:

  • Linen-bound copies of wedding albums to my parents and in-laws
  • A hardcover album of a family trip to Ireland for my dad’s birthday (I had to make one for myself, too!)
  • An album filled with photos of grandkids and great-grandkids to my grandma (the heartfelt voicemail she left after opening her album will stay in my mailbox forever!)

If you’re curious, I recently broke down exactly how I created my Ireland album with Artifact Uprising. The same steps work for any album you want to create, whether it’s a family trip, a milestone, or an event!

High-quality, simple photo albums are a perfect present if you’re up for designing an album of a trip, year, or special event for someone.

02. Photo Frame Ornaments

Photo ornaments are one of my favorite heirloom-style gifts. They only come out once a year, which makes them feel extra special, and they often get passed down. They’re the perfect way to highlight a favorite memory (or swap out the photo each year), and there are so many timeless, beautifully made options to choose from, like these Artifact Uprising ornaments (available in 3 shapes!), this one with a matte from Pottery Barn, or this embroidered one from Rifle Paper Co.

03. A Photo Gift That Doesn’t Need a Frame

Instead of gifting another framed photo, try a unique display option like easels or blocks (this one from Artifact Uprising comes in stone or wood!). They’re a fun way to mix things up if you’ve already gifted a lot of framed prints (guilty over here!). I love that these displays make it easy to switch out photos, so the memory on display always feels fresh.

Artifact Uprising is my fave spot for these gifts because they also come with a set of prints! I also love this keepsake box from Rifle Paper Co. if you or your giftee wants to mix in other mementos with photos.

04. Magnetic Photo Frames

I love the idea of displaying photos on the fridge (who doesn’t?), but a cluttered look isn’t my vibe. After Essie was born (and all I wanted to do was cover the house with photos of her), I found these simple magnetic photo frames. They’re affordable, easy to swap photos in and out, and perfect for everyday use.

For a slightly more elevated take, you can create custom full-photo magnets on Snapfish. I also love these adorable magnetic frames on Etsy!

05. Framed Mementos

This one’s a bit of a twist on a photo gift, but I had to include it! My favorite piece of art in my house is a vintage Lanvin scarf I picked up at a Paris flea market during a study abroad trip. I framed it a few years later, and every time I see it, it instantly takes me back. I love that it’s not just a flat print; it’s a 3-D piece that adds texture and meaning to my space.

If someone you love has a special keepsake lying around (or even collecting dust in the attic), framing it is such a simple way to make it feel intentional and display-worthy. I got my scarf framed at a local framer, but Framebridge is a great option for online ordering!

05. DIY Photo Albums

For the DIY-er in your life, a blank photo album is a perfect gift. It’s ideal for someone who loves to craft, collect, and create their own keepsakes. Bonus points if you pair it with a set of fine art-quality prints and adhesives to get them started!

I love the options from Semikolon for a timeless look, and if your giftee loves a chic, coffee-table-ready vibe, these albums from Printworks are so stylish!

Thoughtful Photo Gifting

I hope these ideas for personalized photo gifts help make your holiday shopping a little easier and more meaningful! And whether you’re shopping for the holidays or just want to surprise someone with something special, these thoughtful, timeless picks are proof that photo gifts can be personal and stylish. Which one would you love to give (or get)? Let me know in the comments!
