I’m so excited to share my home office tour with you! Last month on the blog, I shared a little update and back story to our house that we bought last February. We have since been working slowly to make it our own! I made sure we finished painting & decorating my office first since I spend the most time here. It still needs a rug and a few more pieces of art, but it’s nearly there!

If you’re curious to see a before picture, here is one from the listing! Isn’t that sponge painting, nice!? I immediately knew when we toured this house that if we bought, this room would be my office. It’s one of the brightest rooms during the day and the perfect size.

I started out with my simple white writing desk as my main desk, but it had always felt a little small. Once I worked in the space for a couple of months, I knew I wanted a large desk ASAP! I snagged this one at Pottery Barn Teen with compartments and bulletin boards! I am obsessed with organizing, so I couldn’t resist this little detail.

On the left of my desk, I have a framed poster of one of my favorite movies, Moonrise Kingdom, from the Summer of Wes Anderson event at Charleston Music Hall. I also have a watercolor portrait of my family’s dog Joey.

In the middle of the room framed by the super cool archway is my framed vintage Lanvin scarf and my record player table! I wrote all about framing my scarf in this post if you’re curious! I found the record player table at an antique store in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina called Mt. Pleasant Mall and painted it myself (still need to finish the legs!). And if you’re curious, I really do play records during the day!

Over by the windows, I have my dedicated space for crafty hobbies! I’ve had this chalkboard and pegboard set from Pottery Barn since high school and I still love it (find their updated version here). I’m now using my smaller desk for scrapbooking and framing art for my print shop. Sometimes I’ll sit at this desk and work instead because I love sitting in the sun and looking out the window.

I hope my home office tour gives you a little sense of what working at home looks like for me day-to-day. The next room I’ll likely share is our living room, which is just outside my office! We are hoping to get a new couch soon and add one or two pieces of art before we call it finished. Stay tuned here for more house updates in the coming weeks!
